The National Organization to Insure a Sound-controlled Environment (NOISE) today announced the appointment of Inglewood (CA) Council Member Judy Dunlap as a Member of the NOISE Legislative Committee.
Dunlap was appointed during NOISE's annual Summer Board Meeting, conducted following the 2000 NOISE Summer Conference and Aviation Noise Symposium in Louisville, KY. As a member of the Committee, Dunlap will oversee NOISE's Federal legislative and regulatory affairs agenda for the year, and will serve as a liaison for NOISE when presenting the legislative priorities and agenda for the Organization.
NOISE President Mike Benallo (Commerce City, CO) lauded the Committee's appointment. "Council Member Dunlap has continued to be a leader in he fight to provide sensible aviation noise mitigation, both through her work for the City of Inglewood and the NOISE organization. I am extremely excited to have someone of her stature and determination in the field of aviation noise mitigation representing our organization as we establish our legislative goals and priorities for the 21st Century. Her dedication and insight is a tremendous asset to our organization, and I look forward to working with her and sharing our ideas on this critical issue."
Dunlap represents the Second District of the City of Inglewood, California.

NOISE works to reduce the impact of aviation noise on communities and advocates responsible public policy initiatives to address noise mitigation issues. NOISE seeks to resolve these issues by creating a collaborative effort with effected communities, local airport officials and federal policy makers, including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
